Cole Classic! What a blast! 2kms of Ocean swim with who knows how many other eager beavers all keen to swim over the top of each other. Well I completed the journey in 41 mins and 24 seconds, about par for me, but wasn't sure as it was my first ocean swim. 110th of 209 in my age division so not disgraced
Very community minded event, swum in great spirits by everyone and as you all know if you've bothered to read this blog, I raised a bit of cash for the kids from Oncology Children's Foundation. The donation page isn't closed yet though so feel free to visit and drop a couple of schooners into the mix.

Help Us Help People with MS

The Dullo Recyclers are once again taking to the roads and taking part in the 2009 MS Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride in order to raise funds for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than 18,000 Australians and we’re putting our bodies, reputations & pride on the line once again to support a worthy cause. OK we’re also indulging one of our little foibles of squeezing our blubber into Lycra as often as possible, but please don’t judge us on this.

* The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years

* MS affects three times as many women as men

MS Australia aims to minimize the impact of multiple sclerosis on all individuals affected by the disease, as well as their families, carers and the community, by offering a wide range of services, equipment and support. MS Australia's goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their fullest potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure.
